But I Am A Reply Blogger--Right?

Somehow I became a No-Reply Blogger (not by free will).
After a little snooping investigating, the mystery was solved.
It happened when I connected to Google+.

Necessity Leads to Inspiration!

Ever felt backed into a corner and don't know what to do? And there are limits with what you can have. Ninety percent of the time I love when this happens barring no earth shattering situations.  There is a creative adrenaline rush knowing that you need to come up with a answer. And most of the time there is a creative resolution. And yes, there are those times when we just need to throw in the towel!

A few years back when finally having the opportunity to have a sewing room--I wanted to do it right while having a comfortable place for my son to come home to. It was a slight adjustment that his manly room was becoming my sewing room but I still wanted his tall body to be "snug as a bug" in my dream sewing room.

The dilemma- what kind of bed, where
to put it and would he fit in it?

This is when creative inspiration was needed!

Here is what we came up with!

A queen side Murphy Bed!

Lots of photos and bed information (1/2 down post)

Still Working on.. & Still Laughing at..

Lets just say what I did not do over the weekend,
and that is SEW!
However I did get to trace, cut, fold & glue.
So on a positive note I am moving ahead on my WIP!

Thought I would share a good laugh!

Do you read "The Bitchy Stitcher"?
IT IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE BLOGS
If you are a blogoholic you are aware that many quilt along's, parties, etc. use the first letter of each word so it can fit into the cramped space of blog pages.
Well the Bitchy Stitcher has created a new movement of quilting

For a good laugh-hop on over!

I Got Mail!

Love getting mail,
especially when it is

"Fiber Art"!

Our guild recently had a lecture and wonderful workshop with Terry Kramzar. I thoroughly enjoyed hearing Terry's travel adventures and learning the process that Terry discovered while creating her amazing quilts. With life's interruptions--I am still in the process of completing our workshop piece.

Over the weekend I received this incredible piece of Art in the mail. It is a Fiber Art post card from Terry. We started to correspond a few years back and finally our meeting came full circle. Words can not describe how much I treasure this piece that Terry made.

Don't you just love the towns name?

Today I was mailing off my two Giveaway packages.
These stamps were a gift from my family.
(Stamps are custom made at Zazzle)
Aren't they Fun?

Two Winners-Wahoo!

Last weeks question
How or where does Inspiration strikes you?
Post is Here.

The First Winner is!

Carolyn from Sweet Boater Chick

(pick from names written & picked by my son)

Carolyn Wrote- Inspiration strikes at all times for me, sometimes in my dreams sometimes at the grocery store. And when it does I try to doodle it in one of my notebooks as soon as possible. And once that idea is in my notebook, sometimes it spreads to another :).

Carolyn will receive half yard cut of Micheal Miller fabric.

Second Winner is!

Kate from Thread Everywhere
To a person who comments here and linked to Nini And The Sea.

Kate Wrote-Hi Helen, I saw your link on Nini & The Sea... lately I've been getting inspiration from other blogs and link parties. I also find inspiration often strikes when I'm lying in bed just about to fall asleep.

Kate will receive 1 Full Yard of Micheal Miller fabric
and a Inspirational Journal for Quilters

Chelsey at Nini And The Sea started a Inspiration Linking Party.
We as creative beings seem to be addicted thrive on Inspiration!
Chelsey will be hosting a weekly linking party and hope you join.
Stop by their site and grab a button!

Congratulations Carolyn & Kate I have sent you emails today.

Friend's On Friday-Margareta

Ron is a rum sipper, Eagles fan and Key West lover.

Margareta (my mom) made this quilt for Ron (my brother).

This was the first time I had used circle templates.
Randomly sewing different size circles.

WIP Wednesday

I belong to great group called CAMACO Quilt Guild and last week the very talented quilt artist Terry Kramzar who is from outside of Philadelphia, PA. Came and did a lecture on Wednesday and workshop on Thursday. Here is Terry's blog post. She is full of wonderful interesting stories of hiking and art adventures. It was also very interesting to hear where she gathers her inspiration. In a recent post on Inspiration I did, there is a Give Away until Thursday night-If you are interested!

My WIP for this week is to work on the workshop project. Here is my collection of the pieces so far.
As you can see--it is a work in progress!
